New Cure For Peyronies Disease
Peyronies disease is an uncommon disorder that involves formation of lumps or plaque on the shaft of the penis, resulting in penile curvature and pain during erection. Peyronies disease is characterized by plaques, penile pain and penile curvature, not being able to sustain an erection, shortening of penis, indentation and lack of effective sexual performance.
Peyronies disease is found in only about 3 percent of the men. People suffering from this disease also suffer from performance anxiety about sexual intercourse, resulting in various forms of impotency. Treatment for peyronies disease is available and every other day a new cure for peyronies disease is being found.
Diagnosis
After diagnosis, doctors either advice the patient to observe their condition for a year or two or they offer treatment. Doctors advise the patient to wait before treatment because in most cases, the problem resolves by itself. The pain starts to go away after six months or so as soon as the inflammation subsides. However, if it doesn’t, various forms of treatments help them get cured.
One of the options is surgery but it is only used for acute cases. There are two kinds of surgery. One involves removal of the plaque or lump and replacing the part with different skin tissue. Another one involves shortening of the unaffected area of the penis.
Enzyme Therapy
The other option for treatment is enzyme therapy. Enzymes are fed to the patient in forms of capsules so as to dissolve the scar tissue and cure the patient. Vitamin E, verapamil, potassium aminobenzoate [Potaba], colchicine, or injected steroids are used in the capsules. This form of treatments needs a prolonged time to be effective.
A new cure for peyronies disease is prosthetic implantation procedure. It involves the plantation of hollow or semi rigid silastic cylinders into the corpora cavernosa of the penis. This is generally applied when severe organic impotence also exists. This process is applied to maintain a perfect erection.
Medicines
The newest medication suggested, is Neprinol. These are enzyme capsules containing nattokinase and serrapeptase, accompanied by CoEnzyme Q10 and other enhancing nutritional elements.
They break down foreign fibrous tissues wherever it is present in the body. They are effective in dissolving the scar tissue on the penis that is the main cause of peyronies disease.
It also reduces inflammation around the lump region and improves the immune system of the body so that it can heal the scarred region. However, this drug needs prolonged usage to get effective results.
Penile Extenders and Traction
The most effective treatment however is the use of penis extenders or penis traction devices. These are correctional devices that are used to elongate the penis. These can be used to cure penile curvature. It takes only about a few weeks to work and is risk free. It is very much recommended.
Peyronies disease is uncommon but not unheard of and thus treatment is very much available.
